Hi! I’m Derek Pietras, animation writer. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a storyteller. I can remember many a late night as a young’un lying in bed while, in my mind’s eye, I experienced fantastic worlds as if watching a private movie. Before long, I felt compelled to commit these ideas to paper. As early as second grade, I was writing and illustrating my own tales, using the animated films and television shows that I loved as inspiration. This love of telling stories only grew throughout high school, college, and beyond, to the point where I cannot imagine myself doing anything else. I hope that my works will one day inspire others to explore the fantastic.
